Lake Annecy, August 2014
A friend suggested a trip to Annecy and so we took a family holiday here in August 2014. I found a brilliant web site which has all the details you need here.
It’s a fab place to cycle – loads of Tour de France climbs within a few km from the lake and there are beautiful places to stay all around.
We climbed a few of the local TDF climbs – Forclaz, Col de la Colombiere and Semnoz. All brilliant. I’d recommend this place to anyone – it is superb even in summer – because you are so high up it isn’t too hot to cycle. In fact it was cold at the top of Col de la Colombiere.
